WORKING OUT THE KINKS

By Geza Keller

This tune was written around 2004, while Geza was in between bands. It was the first song that he wrote with a concept, rather than a specific person, as inspiration.

Aiming for a light-hearted dance song, he wrote it as a tribute to the Kinks, his favorite "British-invasion" band, as an homage to their song "All Day and All of the Night."

He didn't play it in public until 2008, after he formed the cover band FakeBook.

LYRICS:

There’s this girl I’ve got to find

She’s been living in my mind

Every day I see her face

Just hasn’t been the time and place

I know she’ll be there tonight

I know that love will make it right

Every boy has got a dream

To live his life with a beauty queen

Just one thing that seems unkind

We all know love’s hard to find

I know she’ll be there tonight

I know that love will make it right…

It may be a matter of time

You might think you’ll lose your mind

You may think you’re the missing link, you’re just working out the kinks

I know she’ll be there tonight

I know that love will make it right

I know she’ll be there tonight

I know that love will make it right
